Fractional Laser (Fraxel)
We all like the appearance of tanned skin. This aspect is perceived as a sign of health, however, in the long term, sun exposure is the main factor for the appearance of skin cancer.
At the same time, the sun also decreases the production of collagen and elastin, resulting in thinner skin, with multiple fine lines (wrinkles), with some vascular lesions in addition to redness and tiredness.
The ideal treatment to counteract these effects is the fractional laser.
It is by far the gold standard by which we can accelerate cell renewal in the superficial layers of the skin. It erases the skin’s memory of sun damage while selectively stimulating the new production of collagen and elastin making the skin firmer and thicker.
This procedure on full face takes about 50 minutes. Since it is a sophisticated peel, post-treatment recovery is about 7 to 10 days during which the skin goes through a repair process. During this period, exposure to the sun should be avoided at all costs. The results last about 2 years.
