Blepharoplasty is the medical term that refers to eyelid surgery.

It is an aesthetic or functional surgical procedure that reshapes the upper or lower eyelid by removing or repositioning excess tissue such as fat and skin by strengthening the surrounding muscles and tendons.

If only the upper eyelid needs to be intervened. The surgery takes about 45 minutes and the recovery time is 3 to 5 days. The incision is not visible and the results are extremely natural.

After the surgery, a rest period of at least five days is recommended, after which the sutures may be removed.

It is normal for some swelling, bruising and redness in the treated area. These symptoms are expected to disappear in the second week after the procedure.
